Interface Administrators

Interface administrators are users with the ability to edit all pages in the MediaWiki namespace (including site-wide CSS, JavaScript, and JSON pages). These pages control the behavior and appearance of the wiki for all users.

Because these changes affect everyone and could introduce security vulnerabilities, this group is limited to very trusted users.

Abilities include:

Editing MediaWiki:Common.js, MediaWiki:Vector.css, etc.

Managing gadgets and interface messages

Updating system configuration through on-wiki pages
